Choosing a wedding date at the end of October helped Gene celebrate his love of Halloween with his wedding. We had the fun of mixing a sophisticated autumn design with Halloween props, a photo booth and skeletons. Never a dull moment over here! Colorful and fun images of this great party captured by Jordan Moody of Brea McDonald Photography.
We created a design that included navy blue to echo Heather’s bridesmaids’ dresses and the feeling of autumn, with navy blue linens topped with blue matrress ticking table runners on round tables mixed with our own farm tables. Accents of gold from our lanterns and votive candles and clear glass cylinders of dried wheat created a cozy ambience along with pumpkins, and autumn floral arrangements designed by Flora Fauna. The floral arrangements included the bride’s favorite, sunflowers, with roses, dahlias, mums, greens, scabiosa, eucalyptus, and foliage in burgundy and purple shades.
Fire & Co. created atmospheric charm with their outdoor wood fired cooking all afternoon, and served up a family style feast along with their bartending services.
Heather and Gene have amazing families, with a great sense of humor and fun. Heather’s dad donned a jack-o-lantern suit and tie for his welcome toast and there was a barn full of laughter and tears at his endearing words to Heather and Gene. A robust party carried on with 5 straight hours of dancing and merriment and the photos from the photo booth were a fun addition to this celebration.
